Kindergarten graduation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30 pm in the R.B. Moffett Gym.
The Colmesneil Elementary Awards Ceremony will be on Tuesday, May 26th at 9:30 am.
The Elementary Gifted and Talented students took their final field trip on Wednesday to the Allan Shivers Library and Museum. We toured the Museum and learned about Governor Shivers and local history. Then we visited the Tyler County Booster where we were gifted with this week’s newspaper. The students wrote an article which made the front page of the newspaper - all about their research project of a local community just down the road from Colmesneil ! Please read the article to learn more about the Mobile Community and let our Elementary students know how proud you are of them- our future is bright!

When we build a school calendar, one of the things we include are days to accommodate for unexpected weather situations that would cause school to be cancelled. We “bank” days (or minutes) to use as needed.
We have not had to use all of our banked minutes this year.
This is GREAT NEWS for the Colmesneil ISD families! We have decided to use that surplus of minutes to shorten our school year by one day. The last day of school will be Wednesday, May 27th, instead of Thursday, May 28th. Teachers will follow the original schedule.

This morning the HS Student Council DASH committee finished up their seat belt unit by doing their post observations in the student parking lot. The HS Student Council wants to encourage everyone to wear their seat belt every time they get behind the wheel.
Last Wednesday the DASH committee for the HS Student Council hosted another seat belt safety activity at lunch. The students raced and were timed on getting into a vehicle and buckling up their seat belts. The HS Student Council hosted this activity to remind students the importance of wearing their seat belts every time they get in their vehicles.
Stephanie Gernon is now a certified Behavior Support Paraprofessional. This is a certification that took a full year of training to receive. We are very proud of her. Congratulations, Ms. Stephanie!

Last Thursday the High School Student Council hosted a fun seatbelt activity at lunch for Teens in the Driver Seat. Students volunteered to race to get the correct answers to questions on seatbelt safety. We had a lot of fun and were informed on seatbelt safety at the same time!
