Unable to keep up with what's going on at CISD? or your student always wants to know what's on the menu for the day?
This is a reminder that Colmesneil ISD has an app available on the App Store and Google Play to help keep you up to date and have the menu at your fingertips.

Our Floral Design Classes have been busy! Each student made an acrylic bookmark with pressed flowers and designed and decorated a wooden circle to be part of their classroom garland. This week they have made ribbon roses and button flowers.
Hands on learning is always fun!
Congratulations to Jolee Bendy, a 7th grader at CJH! We are proud of you!
Way to represent Colmesneil!

Thank you to the TDCJ staff for coming to Colmesneil High School and visiting with our Forensics class. There were 5 adults representing the Criminal Justice system here in Texas.
-Office Hendry (the only female officer) has worked for TDCJ for 29 years, all at the Polunsky Unit. She works with the general population and Death Row.
-One officer worked in the vocational department. He works very hard at teaching the offenders a trade so they will be more successful when released.
-Another officer worked in the gang division of the prison.
-We also had two internal affairs officers speak with our students.
Our students were allowed to ask questions to the TDCJ staff. It was a great learning experience for us all.

We are 100 days smarter today!

Mrs Barrett's Biology classes are growing bean plants for the plant unit. They germinated the bean seed in a damp paper towel, taped to the window, then transferred the seed to a beaker so they could observe the "root" and "shoot" systems growing.
Grace Fowler's bean plant was the first to break through the dirt!

Competition is tomorrow and these students are READY!! Thanks, Mr. Sheffield, for all of your hard work!

Track Meet tomorrow! Let's go, Bulldogs!

TAPR hearing for March 10 will be rescheduled at a later date.
